Civilian
News
The city has its own newspaper, written by the people living in it. The news page is the front page: today's date, the masthead, and whatever the city's reporters have filed.

Reading
Articles are laid out as a newspaper rather than a list — a lead story runs wide, shorter pieces sit alongside it, and the grid reflows to your screen. Click a story to read it in full.
An empty front page reads "No stories in print". That is not a fault; nobody has published yet.
The paper's name and its motto are set by your community, so a server with a strong press presence has its own title on the masthead.
Writing
Publishing is a service, not something every civilian can do. If your community runs a press service, go on duty for it from Civilian Services. While your shift is running, the article editor is a panel on My Service, and this page gets a round + at the top right: it opens the same editor over the paper, straight on an empty article. Once you publish, the panel closes and your story is already on the front page. Need the paper back first? Dock the panel: it becomes a tab at the bottom with your draft in it, and the tab or the + brings it back. The draft is kept until you leave this page. The × closes the panel altogether, and throws away whatever you had not published.
Articles are written for readers in the city. Anything that belongs to the people playing rather than the characters — server rules, out-of-character announcements — belongs in your community's Discord, not on the front page.
Staff read the same paper from their own MDT, so a story about a police operation is read by the officers who ran it.
