Reporting an Incident

There are two ways to reach dispatch, and picking the right one is most of the job.

ForHow
911emergencies — something happening now/911 in-game, by voice
311everything else — a complaint, something found, something already overthe form in the CAD

911 is a phone call to a live dispatcher. 311 is paperwork that lands in the queue and gets picked up when someone is free. A stolen bicycle from last Tuesday is not a 911 call.

Filing a 311 report

Open My Calls at the bottom right of the portal and scroll to the form.

  1. Subject — one line, e.g. Noise complaint at neighbour.
  2. Postal — the postal code nearest to where it happened. This is what puts the call on the dispatcher's map, so it is the single most useful field on the form.
  3. Street / Address — the street, picked from the list as you type.
  4. Description — what happened. Vehicles, people, direction of travel, timing. A dispatcher can only send what you tell them.
  5. TRANSMIT TO DISPATCH.

Submitting anonymously

The Submit Anonymously tick hides your character's ID from the officers who respond. They see the report, not who filed it.

It hides you in character only. As the form says: misuse of the system is still logged out of character, so an anonymous report is not an anonymous prank.

When intake is closed

You may find 311 Intake Temporarily Closed instead of the form. A dispatcher has paused non-emergency intake — usually because the queue is full or nobody is on. Emergencies still go through /911; try the form again later.

Following your calls

The top of My Calls tracks every open call you have, 911 and 311 together, updating live.

Each card shows:

  • 911 or 311, and whether it came in by Phone or Online.
  • The subject and the location.
  • Unit dispatched · <callsign> as soon as someone is assigned to you.

That last line is the useful one: it tells you help is actually coming and who to expect, without calling back to ask. The count on the My Calls button keeps ticking even while the panel is closed.
