Dispatch

Server Controls

Four switches that change how reports and calls reach you — flipped by an on-duty dispatcher, applied live, community-wide. No admin panel, no restart.

The Server Controls pop-out with all four toggles: Local Witness Reports disabled globally by admin, Civilian 311 Reports, and the two Live Call Routing switches

Server Controls sits in the sidebar and opens as a pop-out rather than a page, so you can flip something without leaving the console.

An amber dot on the sidebar item means something is switched off. That is the only reminder you get, and it is there because every one of these switches is easy to leave off by accident and invisible afterwards.

Intake

Local Witness Reports — whether locals call things in. With it on, events in the game world produce calls by themselves: an explosion, shots fired, a fire. Switched off, the queue only fills with what people report. Which events, and how often, is an admin setting — see Witness Reports.

Civilian 311 Reports — the non-emergency report form on the civilian portal. Switched off, civilians see 311 Intake Temporarily Closed telling them dispatch has paused non-emergency reports and that emergencies still go through /911. That matters: it is the difference between "the CAD is broken" in your Discord and a player who understands to call it in instead.

Live call routing

The second group decides whether an in-game caller rings you or goes straight to a form.

/911 → Live Dispatcher — on, /911 rings a dispatcher whenever one is reachable. Off, callers go straight to the intake form even when a dispatcher is free.

/311 → Live Dispatcher — the same for /311.

These are not on/off for the feature; they are voice-or-form. A caller always gets through either way. What you are choosing is whether they reach a person or fill something in — so switching them off is the right move when you are alone and drowning, and the wrong one when you simply forgot to turn them back on.

With nobody on duty both run automatically anyway. The routing switches only matter while a dispatcher is signed on; an empty console falls back to the forms by itself.

When the witness toggle does nothing

If your community's admin has disabled witness reports globally, the toggle stays visible but reads "Disabled globally by admin — toggle has no effect." and cannot be moved. That is an admin setting rather than a fault — see Witness & Server Controls.

Shared, and inherited

These are community-wide, not per dispatcher. What you leave switched off, the next dispatcher on shift inherits — and they will not know you turned it off unless they notice the amber dot.

Turn things back on at the end of a busy stretch. A 311 intake switched off on a Friday night and forgotten is a civilian portal that quietly produces nothing all week; nobody reports it, because it does not look broken.
