Admin Settings
Radio & Tones
Two things live in admin, and one important thing does not.
Radio channels are not configured here. They are created and managed by dispatch, in the MANAGE tab of the radio panel — that is where channels are added, edited and units are dragged between them. See Radio.
What admin owns is the radio key that lets the resource connect, and the tones that play over the air.
The radio key
Under Server Files & Keys. It authenticates the radio resource against your community, and the panel shows whether it has been used recently — which is the quickest way to tell "nobody is on the radio" from "the radio is misconfigured".
Rotating it invalidates the old one, so re-download the resource package afterwards. And never screenshot it; see Onboarding & FiveM Integration.
Tones
Radio Tones is currently disabled in the navigation while the default sound set is being finished. Custom tone uploads come back after that.
When it is available, two kinds are managed there:
- Radio tones — the attention tones dispatch plays out over a channel from the TONES tab.
- Call tones — the alerts the CAD plays by itself, including the panic alarm.
If you have uploaded nothing, the CAD uses its built-in sounds. There is no state in which an alert is silent because a tone is missing.
A note on volume
Tone and radio volume are per device, set by each user under Settings → Sound levels CAD — see Your Settings. There is no community-wide volume, and that is deliberate: a dispatcher on headphones and a player on laptop speakers do not want the same level.
The one thing LUX will never do is change a player's operating-system input volume — so if somebody is quiet in every resource, that is their Windows setting rather than something you can fix from here.
